About Shootsy

Shootsy is a video production marketplace connecting brands, e-commerce and marketing teams with vetted creators — directors, camera operators, editors, drone pilots, colorists, VFX artists and AI creators. Instead of endless portfolio scrolling and blind bidding, every project starts with an AI-assisted brief and ends with footage the client has reviewed and signed off. One promise: video production without the chaos.

About Personit

At Personit, we help startups and scaling businesses move from idea to real product — up to 5x faster than traditional dev teams. We specialize in low-code platforms and AI-powered development.

Challenge

Commissioning video is broken: quotes for the same scope differ by hundreds of percent, portfolios are hard to verify, and every decision drowns in email threads and expired WeTransfer links. Shootsy needed a platform that would:

  • Turn a loose client idea into a structured brief with scope, budget and deadline
  • Match that brief with specific vetted creators instead of spamming the whole market
  • Put proposals side by side — style, scope, ratings and price in one view
  • Keep conversation, arrangements, files and sign-offs inside one project workspace
  • Protect both sides: a clear scope, dual acceptance on changes and reviews after delivery
  • Launch fast in Poland, built to expand further

Why low-code + AI?

A two-sided marketplace with AI, live chat and a creator catalog had to ship in 6 weeks — with no compromise on security or quality.

React & Supabase allowed us to:

  • Building the interface with ready-made React components instead of coding UI from scratch
  • Supabase as 'Backend-as-a-Service' – instant authentication and API access right out of the box
  • Postgres with Row-Level Security as the single home for business rules: dual acceptance on scope changes, reviews only after a completed project
  • Realtime for chat and Storage for deliverables — no custom infrastructure to build
  • Edge Functions for AI model calls, with no servers to maintain
  • Security and scalability 'out-of-the-box', saving weeks of development work

The result: a fully functional, secure platform built in a fraction of the time traditional development would take.

Where our experience made a difference

A good brief is half the production — AI pulls out of the client what they would never write down themselves.

A marketplace lives on the quality of its supply: creators enter matchmaking only after their portfolio is verified.

Creators don't need more inquiries, they need better ones — with a goal, a scope and a budget.

Turning a chat into a list of concrete arrangements defuses the classic 'but we agreed on something else' argument.

Building a two-sided marketplace with AI at its core?

We specialize in shipping complex logic fast — without cutting corners on security.
