CTO as a Service

Fractional CTO for your startup
while a full-time CTO is still out of reach.

We take ownership of technology in your startup: decisions, vendor oversight and the documentation investors will ask for. No full-time hire, no equity.

Ten things due diligence will check.

Funds ask about all of this before a round. Click an item to change its state: missing, needs work, ready. Your answers stay in your browser.

0 of 10 ready

Three or more items not yet “ready”? Sort them out before you talk to a fund. If there is no product yet, start with Product Discovery workshops or with building your MVP.

How it works

Fixed monthly hours. Scope agreed after the call.

We step into the role a CTO would normally fill and stay as long as you need it. Then we hand it over to your team.

Capacity

A fixed number of hours a month

We agree the hours after the first call. They usually go up before a round and down after launch.

Decisions

Architecture, stack, data, security

We lay out the options with their cost and consequences. You make the call, and we write it down.

Oversight

Keeping your vendor in check

We read quotes before you sign, join status calls and tell you straight when the scope creeps.

Review

Code and contract review

We go through the repository and the IP clauses. This is where due diligence most often stalls.

Team

Building the team until handover

Hiring, technical interviews and onboarding. Once you hire a full-time CTO, we hand everything over.

Billing

You know what you pay and who is accountable

The CTO role on fixed monthly hours. Build work on Fixed Price or in sprints. You talk directly to the Tech Lead.

For accelerators and incubators

One technical partner for your whole portfolio.

  • We meet in person. At your office or ours.
  • Framework agreement. The same terms for every company in the cohort.
  • One coordinator. Keeps track of all the startups and reports to you in one place.
  • Many companies at once. Each one gets its own Tech Lead.
  • Cohort sessions. We run the “Pionierzy AI” event and can run a session for your batch.

Questions

Before you book a call.

How many hours a month do I get?

We agree that after the first call and put it in the contract. Before a round you usually need more of our time than during maintenance, so we adjust the hours when you ask.

How does billing work?

The fractional CTO role is billed as a fixed number of hours per month. Build work, such as an MVP, a new module or a migration, is quoted separately: Fixed Price or weekly and monthly sprints. You know the amount before we start.

When will I see the first results?

Within the first month. We start by reviewing your code, your contracts and the due diligence checklist, so you quickly learn what blocks the round and what to fix first.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes, before the first in-depth conversation if you need one. We can sign your template or send ours. For accelerators, the NDA is part of the framework agreement for the whole portfolio.

I already have a software vendor. What then?

You do not have to replace them. We work on your side: we read quotes, join status calls, review the code and check that you get what you pay for. If the vendor does good work, we will tell you that too.

Can you help with due diligence?

Yes. We close the gaps from the checklist, starting with the ones that block the deal, and prepare the technical documentation for the data room. We also join the technical calls with the fund.

Who owns the IP for what we build?

You do. Where full rights cannot be transferred, for example with third-party components, you get a licence to use them.

I have a technical co-founder. Is this still useful?

Yes, in a narrower scope. Your co-founder runs technology day to day. We do an independent architecture review before a round, give a second opinion on a big stack decision or help you build the team.
